Welcome to the Investments class.

In this class we'll cover:

• How to build portfolios using both fundamental and technical analysis.
• Provide an overview of the financial markets, what a stock is, and how to analyze the performance of a stock and a portfolio of stocks using both risk and return. 
• Understand the behavior of market participants. 
• Understand and apply technical analysis to stock selection in a portfolio management exercise. 
• Understand the principles of both options and futures. 
• Apply Technical Analysis to both Options and Futures.

We'll build portfolios following both fundamental and technical criteria, and follow the recommendations of passing stocks using a simulated trading competition. 

You'll write a report on what stocks you bought and why, and analyze the technical analysis of the passing stocks and decide which stocks to add to a portfolio. 

You'll take that same analysis and apply it to analyzing an options chain of a stock that is showing a current recommended buy signal, as well as explore the historical buy and sell signals of stocks that were in your portfolio during the course, as well as historical buy and sell signals of a futures contract. 

Each module will cover the aspects of Investment Finance needed to understand the financial markets. There are sample problems to go over, with a 70% score or better being considered 'passing' the module.
